I wanted to love my stay at Holbox By Xaloc, as it boasted a fantastic location near the beach and was a quick stroll to town. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired, with rude staff and cleanliness issues that really impacted my experience. While I appreciate the charming setting, I found the facilities could use some serious improvements to justify the price.

The beach location is perfect, close to town, but the restaurant only serves breakfast, which was good but limited. My bungalow was lovely with a sea view, but there were some hiccups, like the hot water being out for a few days and a few minor maintenance issues. Overall, I really liked the laid-back vibe and cleanliness of the resort.
